This is an old picture of my ancestor E. Sumner Forbes standing in front of
his store in Hartford Connecticut. Unfortunately, the store was lit with gas
lights which were notorious for causing fires, and Forbes and Buckland burnt
to the ground. Scroll down and you will see the
aftermath of the fire.
